Brown Safe builds safes and vaults for the military and the government, and it builds the Man Safe the same way for a watch collection. The company makes each safe in the United States and lays out the interior around the owner's watches. Orbita winders rock each watch back and forth, much as a wrist does. The 2018 shown here holds eight watches above two drawers, and taller models hold up to 16.

WOLF traces its business to 1834 and makes watch winders, watch boxes, and safes. The Den holds 18 watches, eight on winders and ten in a removable tray. A fingerprint or a code opens it, and bolts through the base and back fix it to the floor or a wall. The winders turn on one fixed program, and the owner can't change it.

The Heritage puts the winders inside a heavy steel body with concealed hinges and two locking bolts. A fingerprint, a code, or a key opens it, and the owner can bolt it to the floor or a wall. The owner sets each winder to one of 15 programs, so every watch gets the setting its maker calls for. The Heritage VI holds six watches and stands 30 inches tall, and the IX holds nine at 40 inches.

Dukwin's safe winds nine watches inside a steel body, and its sealed door resists fire for 30 minutes at 1,200°F. A fingerprint, a code, both together, a key, or an app on the owner's phone opens it. The owner sets how fast each winder turns and picks the color of the light ring around it. The safe weighs 100 pounds and stands free, and Dukwin says not to mount it on or in a wall.

WOLF finishes this six-watch winder in polished Macassar ebony with chrome fittings, styled after British motorcars. A glass cover keeps the dust off and shows the watches turning. Each cuff takes a watch up to 52 mm across, and the owner sets the direction of the turns.

The Belgrave winds three watches and stores six more, four in a tray under the lid and two in a travel case that comes out for trips. Its black faux leather and brushed metal face suit a dresser or a closet shelf. It plugs into the wall or takes D-cell batteries, so it works away from an outlet.

The Orient holds six watches in a piano-black case 12 inches tall, small enough for a desk or a dresser. A glass door shows the watches turning, and a fingerprint reader opens it. The case weighs 19 pounds and has no steel body, so it suits a room that already locks. Taller versions hold 9, 12, or 24 watches.

Dukwin's cabinet winds six watches and displays five more on a shelf below them, all behind one glass door. A drawer at the bottom takes jewelry, and LED lights show off the watches inside. The handmade wood case comes in piano-gloss green, red, off-white, or black.
