A Vacheron Constantin Traditionnelle Twin Beat Perpetual Calendar, close up

Vacheron Constantin

Vacheron Constantin built the Égérie, French for muse, for women in 2020 instead of shrinking a men’s model. Vacheron gave it a newly developed automatic movement, the calibre 1088, and set the date or the moon phase off center. Its dials show the house’s crafts, with hand guilloché, a moonstone cabochon, and mother-of-pearl, and Vacheron offers diamond-set versions alongside.

I can source any watch, new or used, even very hard-to-get. I chose these examples to guide you.

Of the 912 diamonds on this watch, 574 pave the dial. A gold arrow points to the date in an off-center window between 1 and 2 o'clock, and Vacheron sets the crown at the same angle. The watch comes with satin and alligator straps that you can swap without tools.

More about Vacheron Constantin

Jean-Marc Vacheron took on his first apprentice in Geneva in 1755, and the company has made watches without a break ever since, longer than any other. François Constantin joined as a partner in 1819. Around 1839 the company hired Georges-Auguste Leschot, whose pantograph and other machines made interchangeable parts and helped start industrial watchmaking.

Richemont bought Vacheron Constantin in 1996. In 2015 the company finished the Reference 57260, a pocket watch with 57 complications, then the most complicated watch ever made. It broke that record in 2024 with the Berkley Grand Complication, which has 63 complications.
