Harry Winston

Harry Winston started making watches in 1989 with the Premier, a collection only for women. The house designs its women’s watches the way it designs jewelry, and the Emerald case of 2016 follows the emerald cut, the founder’s favorite stone. Its invention shows in stones and dials. The Premier Precious Butterfly uses natural pigment from butterfly wings on its dial, over the house’s own automatic movement.

I can source any watch, new or used, even very hard-to-get. I chose these examples to guide you.

More about Harry Winston

Harry Winston opened his jewelry company in New York in 1932 and became one of the best-known diamond dealers of the century. He bought the Jonker diamond, and in 1958 he gave the Hope diamond to the Smithsonian.

The company began making watches in 1989. In 2001 it started the Opus series, in which a different independent watchmaker designed each model, from François-Paul Journe on Opus 1 to Vianney Halter on Opus 3. Swatch Group bought Harry Winston in 2013.
