The blue Jacob & Co. Bugatti Tourbillon on black

Jacob & Co.

Jacob Arabo, a jeweler who came to New York from Uzbekistan as a teenager, founded Jacob & Co. in the city's Diamond District in 1986. Musicians and athletes made his jewelry famous.

His first watch, the Five Time Zone, put five time zones on one brightly colored dial. In 2007 the company opened a workshop in Geneva for complicated watches, and in 2014 it introduced the Astronomia, in which the tourbillon and a small globe of the Earth travel around the dial on a rotating frame. The Arabo family still owns the company.

I can source any watch, new or used, even very hard-to-get. I chose these examples to guide you.

A regulator gives the hours and minutes their own dials. On this Astronomia the entire movement, including the two blue dials and the flying tourbillon, turns once a minute. Jacob & Co. calls this a world first.

Jacob & Co. modeled the case on the Bugatti Tourbillon hypercar and put a sapphire V16 engine in the middle. Its 16 titanium pistons move up and down when you press the crown. The hour scale starts at zero, as on the car's tachometer, and a gauge marked Engine shows the power left.

When you press the pusher at 8 o'clock, the roulette wheel around the dial spins, and a ceramic ball bounces until it settles in one of 37 pockets. The flying tourbillon is on the back. On this version, Jacob & Co. sets the wheel around a blue aventurine dial.

The Godfather II

$460,000 new in 2026

A music box inside plays two themes from Nino Rota's score, the Godfather Waltz and the Love Theme, and the owner picks which one. Marlon Brando's Don Corleone appears in gold on the black lacquer dial. Jacob & Co. made 74, a number that marks the film's release in 1974.

Twin Turbo Furious, front

Twin Turbo · 52 × 57mm · Manual wind · TT200.40.NS.NK.B

Twin Turbo Furious

$671,000 new in 2026

Two tourbillons spin side by side, each turning on three axes. A slide on the left of the case makes the watch chime the time, counting minutes in groups of 10. After the chronograph times a lap, a turn of the crank shows how many seconds faster or slower it was than the last.

Astronomia Sky, front

Astronomia · 47mm · Manual wind · AT110.40.AA.WD.A

Astronomia Sky

$748,000 new in 2026, prices vary

There are many different versions of this watch, with various items rotating around the center, including a cut diamond moon sphere and even a miniature astronaut spacewalking. Every 20 minutes the entire movement makes a full turn, and a patented gear keeps the hour dial upright as it goes. Beneath it, a blue titanium plate engraved with the zodiac turns once a year and shows the month through the side of the case.

Astronomia Tourbillon Clarity, front

Astronomia · 50mm · Manual wind · AT120.40.AD.SD.A

Astronomia Tourbillon Clarity

$660,000 new in 2026

Clear sapphire forms much of the case, so the turning arms of the movement show from the side. The watch has no crown. Its owner winds and sets it with bows that fold out from the back, and Jacob & Co. limits it to nine pieces.

Bugatti Chiron Tourbillon, front

Bugatti Chiron Tourbillon · 44 × 55mm · Manual wind · BU200.21.AE.AB.B

Bugatti Chiron Tourbillon

$341,000 new in 2026

When you press the crown on the right, 16 pistons move up and down in sapphire cylinders for 15 seconds, modeled on the W16 engine of the Bugatti Chiron. At the front, a tourbillon tilted 30 degrees turns once a minute.
